Synopsis:

The Exeter Township Police Department is investigating thefts from vehicles where car windows were smashed out and purses containing personal information stolen. These thefts happened at the Hillcrest Racquet Club parking lot 4401 Perkiomen Ave, within Exeter Township on Sunday, November 11th 2018 between 5:50 pm and 6:15 pm.

The stolen personal information was used to commit identity theft, by the white female suspect depicted in the images. The suspect used identifying information from the Exeter Township victims to cash, or attempt to cash, several fraudulent checks totaling more than $23,000. These checks were presented at Fulton Banks located in Lancaster Co. (Salisbury Twp., Manheim Twp., Lancaster City, E. Cocalico Twp., Denver Borough & Ephrata Twp.) and Warrington Twp., Bucks Co.

The Spring Township Police Department is attempting to identify the male in the attached photographs relative to a theft that occurred on Wednesday, November 14th 2018 between 5:50 pm and 6:05 pm. This theft happened at Lowes, 2625 Shillington Road, within the Township of Spring. The victim met the male at the customer service counter to negotiate the sale of an iPhone X. The male grabbed the bag that contained the iPhone and ran out of the store, without paying the victim for the Iphone. The male got into the vehicle in the depicted vehicle attached photograph.

The Amity Township Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Oliverio’s Pizza, 101 Park Lane, Douglassville, within Amity Township. This happened during the overnight hours on Sunday, October 7, 2018. The pictured suspect made entry into the business by using a rock to smash out the glass on the front door. Once inside the suspect took the cash register drawer and a tip jar. The suspect appeared to be wearing a hoodie, glasses, gloves and a shirt tied around his/her face.

Synopsis:

1st Crime:

The Bern Township Police are investigating a Home Invasion Robbery that occurred in the 1400 block of Cross Keys Road, on Wednesday November 7, 2018 during the afternoon hours.

The suspect(s) entered through an unlocked door adjacent to the home garage, while the home owner was inside the residence. A Hispanic male small to medium build in his late teens/early 20’s wearing blue jeans and a dark color “pom-pom” style knit hat with a gold stripe entered the master bedroom of the residence. The male suspect then pointed a semi-automatic pistol (Silver Barrel & Black Hand Grip) at the home owner as he was seated in a chair. The suspect told the home owner “Do not move or I will shoot you.”

As the male suspect pointed a gun at the home owner, a Hispanic female small to medium build in her late teens/early 20‘s wearing a full Gray sweat suit with a hoodie rummaged through the house.

The suspects stole jewelry, expensive perfume, fur coats, and two Purple Heart pins from WWII.

Attached are some of the more custom style jewelry stolen.

2nd Crime:

The Cumru Township Police are investigating a similar incident that happened in the 000 block of Fawn Drive, on Wednesday November 7th, 2018, at approximately 3:40 pm. When investigators responded to a home for a burglary turned robbery.

The Victim of the Cumru Incident arrived home at about 3:30 pm at his residence to find a dark blue or grey newer model Dodge Dart parked in his driveway. The vehicle displayed possible license plate “AMAW4A”. The license plate was described as having a white background with blue lettering and numbers.

There was no license plate displayed on the front of the vehicle.

A female suspect was seated in the driver’s seat that pointed a handgun at the Victim and told him to walk away. Two additional suspects exited the residence and entered the Dodge Dart. All suspects fled the area in the Dodge Dart and were last seen traveling east on Pheasant Drive.

The suspects stole handgun, jewelry and an undetermined amount of cash.

The Suspects are described as follows:

  1. Hispanic female – late teens to early twenties – dark hair – round face.
  2. Hispanic female – late teens to early twenties – dark hair – thin build – dark sweatpants – dark hooded sweatshirt.
  3. Light skinned black or Hispanic male – early twenties – approximately 5’10” – thin build – dark sweatpants – dark hooded sweatshirt – dark knit hat with grey pom-pom on top.

The Wyomissing Borough Police Department is investigating a theft of copper that occurred at The Works, 1109 Bern Road, Wyomissing, within Wyomissing Borough. Several thousand dollars’ worth of copper was reported to have been stolen over a period time. A subject was caught on camera in the tunnels of The Works. This person is described as a middle age, Caucasian male and is wanted by investigators for questioning in this theft investigation.

The Exeter Township Police Department is investigating a Hit and Run Pedestrian Accident that happened on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at about 4:05 pm. This accident happened on Oak Parkway right near w. 47th Street, within Exeter Township. The depicted vehicle passed a stopped school bus, travelling East in the West bound lane of Oak Parkway. The school bus was stopped with the flashing lights activated and the “stop” arm deployed. The Ten (10) year old Exeter School student that was struck sustained injuries and was treated at Reading Hospital. The vehicle was last seen travelling East on Oak Parkway.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2004 – 2006 Red Acura MDX with what appears to be a Pennsylvania registration plate. Investigators are requesting assistance with the suspect vehicle registration plate identification and suspect vehicle owner information.

Synopsis:

The Reading Bureau Police Department is investigating an assault that happened on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. The assault occurred at about 6:35 pm where a U-Haul Truck was used as a weapon. This incident happened at U-Haul located at 1824 New Holland Road, Reading, within Kenhorst Borough.

The victims are a male and his four year old son. The incident started as argument with a female who parked her car to close to the victim’s SUV and the argument escalated to an assault by the female’s male acquaintance.

The male suspect picked a cinder block and was going to hit the victim with it but was stopped by his female companion. The victim then got into his SUV to leave the parking lot. At this time the male suspect got into a UHAUL truck and rammed the victim’s vehicle several times in the rear while the victim’s 4 year old son was in the back seat. The victim then got out of his SUV and attempted to record the male suspect driver and the registration plate of the U-Haul truck the suspect was driving. The male suspect then steered the UHAUL truck towards the victim and attempted to run him over but the victim managed to jump out the way of the U-Haul truck. The male suspect, driving the U-Haul truck, then fled north on New Holland Road and then North on Lancaster Ave. The female that was with the male suspect, fled the same direction in a small white sedan with a Maryland registration.

Synopsis:

On Wednesday, October 3rd 2018 at about 9:20 pm the Cumru Township Police responded to the 100 block of Colonial Drive, Governor Mifflin Apartments, within Cumru Township. The police investigated an assault incident where the assault victim was found in the laundry / storage area of the apartment building.

The 41 year old female victim related that she had gone to the laundry room shortly after 7:00 pm. The victim stated that while she was in the process of doing her laundry an unknown male came up behind her, grabbed her around the neck and around the waist, pulling her from the laundry room and into a storage area not far from the laundry room. The victim added that the unknown male hit her on the head with an unknown object, knocking her unconscious.

The victim was found at about 9:00 pm, by another apartment building resident, who call 911. The victim was then transported to Reading Hospital for evaluation.

The Birdsboro Police Department is investigating a Burglary and vandalism incident that happened at the former Birdsboro Elementary Center, 400 W. 2nd Street, with in the Borough of Birdsboro. This incident took place on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at about 4:45 pm.

A neighbor to the former school heard an audible alarm and saw flashing lights from within the formal school. No notifications were sent or received by police and fire agencies.

Investigators found that an intruder/s had entered the building through an unlocked window. Once inside the building the intruder/s smashed computer screens and key boards, threw paint throughout the building, turned on all water spouts and also dumped glue and rubber cement throughout the building.

A black male believed to be between 18 and 25 years of age, struck the assault victim from behind with a chair. Based on the location and time of the incident, investigators believe that there are witnesses to this assault incident. Witnesses are requested to make contact with investigators.

The Cumru Township Police Department is investigating incidents of credit card fraud. The first incident took place on Friday, July 27th 2018 at about 5:25 pm at the Giant, 600 E. Lancaster Avenue, within Cumru Township. The second incident also took place on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at about 5:35 pm at Redner’s Market, 300 Kenhorst Plaza, within Kenhorst Borough. Both of these fraudulent transactions were committed by the same person, who is depicted in the surveillance image.

The Kutztown Borough Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery and assault incident. This attempted robbery and assault occurred at the intersection of W. Main St. and N. Whiteoak St. Within Kutztown Borough. This incident happened on Saturday, May 12th 2018 at approximately 2:30 A.M. The suspect demanded the victim to empty his pockets and then assaulted him. The suspect depicted in the surveillance photograph is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, slender build wearing a yellow basketball shirt.

This incident happened on Friday June 22nd 2018. The suspect attempted to steal food items from the store and then fled the area in a light colored Toyota Camry. The suspect is depicted in the surveillance photograph wearing the white t-shirt.

Synopsis:

The Central Berks Regional Police Department, Exeter Township Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives – Reading Field Office are investigating two commercial burglaries that occurred on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018.

The first burglary happened at about 3:20 am when the depicted male entered Tasker’s Beer Barn, 6250 Perkiomen Avenue, within the Baumstown section of Exeter Township, by smashing the front glass door. The actor went directly behind the counter in an attempt to locate the cash register but was unsuccessful. He then went in to the office briefly before fleeing the scene.

The second burglary happened at about 4:10 am, when the same male from the Exeter Township incident entered Firearms Defense Industry, 959 Memorial Highway (SR 73) within Oley Township by smashing the front glass window. The actor went directly behind the counter and removed the cash drawer. After the cash drawer the actor located numerous firearms, mostly handguns. The actor was in and out of both locations in less than two minutes.

The male actor appears to be alone in both incidents. He is described as a tall, thin, white male wearing black shoes, black pants, black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black handkerchief or scarf covering his face, and a pair of gloves with one being black and white on his left hand.

Even though the suspect surveillance photographs are of poor quality, they are being provided as an example of the actor.

The Curmru Township Police Department is investigating a robbery incident that occurred on Monday February 19th, 2018 at about 7:30 pm. The robbery happen at the Sunoco Mini-Mart (formerly Valero), located at 100 Revere Blvd., within Cumru Township.

The Suspect, dressed all in dark clothing, wearing sunglasses, a dark hat, and a dark mask covering the lower portion of his face, entered the store and approached the counter. The Suspect walked behind the counter displaying a dark colored handgun and confronted the Sunoco cashier. The Suspect hit the cashier in the face with the gun in his hand. The Suspect ordered the cashier to get on the floor. The Suspect then took money from the cash register.

The Suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The Suspect also stole cigarettes and several lottery tickets. The Suspect fled the Sunoco Mini-Mart and ran west on Revere Blvd (Rte 724) into Spring Township.

Information derived from the security surveillance shows the Suspect is wearing layers of clothing and appears to be a light skinned male wearing dark clothes, a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, and the lower part of his face covered. The Suspect is a short to medium height male and appears to have a medium build.

A 24 year old female was punch in the face, while she was retrieving items from her vehicle that was parked in a rear parking lot of the 200 block of E. Philadelphia Avenue.

The victim described the assailants as being three white males in their 20’s. One was described as wearing blue jeans and a brown Carhartt style jacket. Another was wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood covering his head and the third was wearing blue jeans and a Navy blue colored coat and a baseball cap.

Once the victim was knocked to the ground she was able to get up and run away from the assailants. The victim did not seek medical attention for any injuries that she sustained.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating a theft of various collectible coins stolen from the Mill Property Antiques store located at 2910 Main Street Morgantown, within Caernarvon Township. The theft occurred on Sunday, December 31st, 2017 at about 4:15 pm.

The coins taken were of various pennies, nickels and state quarters. The coins were all stored in 2”x2” cardboard coin holders with a number “101” written on the front. The suspect is described as being a white male in his 40’s, about 5’6″, a little stocky, with dark hair, wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, dark shirt, black knit winter hat, blue jeans and work boots. The male was also accompanied by a woman who is described as a white female being a little older and shorter with dark hair with a little grey in it. The woman was wearing a bandana on her head. The suspects fled in a dark red or maroon color Subaru Outback station wagon.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating an incident involving counterfeit $100.00 bills, that happened on Sunday, December 24th, 2017, when a black male entered the Wal-Mart at 100 Crossing Blvd, Elverson, within Caernarvon Township. Once in the electronics department of the store the suspect purchased two Xbox Ones and a Nintendo Switch, with additional service plans. The suspect provided $1,700.00 cash to pay for his purchase. The cash was all $100 dollar bills and all the bills were counterfeit.

The suspect was described as a black male between 45 and 59 years of age, wearing black jumpsuit and an orange undershirt. The suspect was also described as wearing a grey and white flannel winter hat. It is believed that the suspect was operating a dark colored, possibly black, newer model Sport Utility Vehicle or Crossover type vehicle, similar to a Hyundai Santa Fe or Kia Sorento.

The Exeter Township Police Department is investigating an identity theft incident where a victim’s personal information was used to compromise the victim’s bank account. This incident took place at the First National Bank, 5140 Perkiomen Avenue, within Exeter Township. The suspect, who was described as a black male compromised the account several times on September 6th 2017 between 10:15 am and 3:30 pm.

The suspect used the bank’s interactive teller machine at two different locations and performed three successful transactions which enable the suspect to steal approximately $3,000.00 from the victim’s bank account.

The Wyomissing Borough Police Department is investigating a credit card theft that happened at the Wyomissing Wal-Mart, 1135 Berkshire Blvd, within Wyomissing Borough. This incident occurred on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at about 12:30 pm. The victim left his debit card in an Automated Teller Machine. The store surveillance footage captured a white male taking the debit card from the automated teller machine. The white male was accompanied by a white female and the two of them then went to several stores and used the stolen debit card to make about $2,000.00 worth of purchases. The suspects were seen entering and leaving the Wal-mart parking lot in a black Honda Accord coupe.

The suspects in these cases appear to be juveniles and can be seen on video surveillance near the home.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating a “Grandparent Scam” that began on September 26th. The victim is an 88 year old female. She received a call from someone who claimed to be her grandson. The “grandson” said that he was driving a friend’s car and there was marijuana in the car and he had been arrested and needed money to get out of jail. The grandson then passed the phone over to an unknown male who said his name was Sergeant DAVIS.  Sgt. DAVIS instructed my victim to go to Walmart and obtain (2) two $1,000.00 gift cards and call him back at a specified number, to provide the gift card numbers.

The elderly victim was provided with accurate information, by the suspects, such as her grandson’s name and address.

The following day, September 27th., the elderly victim received another call for “Sgt Davis” asking for another $2,000.00 in Walmart gift cards, which the victim supplied.

The gift cards were cashed at three different locations by three different individuals.

  1. 09/26/17 at 1726 hours – Store #1182 174 Cypress Point Pkwy Palm Coast, FL 32164-7438
  2. 09/27/17 at 1243 hours – Store #5227 6000 Burke Commons Road, Burke, VA 22015-2805
  3. 09/27/17 at 1434 hours – Store # 1852 14000 Worth Ave, Woodbridge ,VA 22192-4121

Investigation learned that when the suspects went in to cash the elderly victim’s gift cards, they also cashed numerous other cards at the same time. Some of the other cards were generated from out of Booneville, AZ; King, NC; & several other PA areas.

The subject in the attached photo is wanted for prowling at night and questioning in a related stolen pick-up truck incident.  A white in color 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck, displaying Pennsylvania registration YPC2657, was stolen from a residence, located near Worley’s, during this same time period.

The Bern Township Police Department is investigating several incidents of thefts from vehicles that occurred during the overnight hours of Saturday, September 09, 2017 to the morning of Sunday, September 10, 2017.

In one of the thefts several credit cards were taken and used during the night at Redner’s Market, within Leesport and the Temple Walmart, within Muhlenberg Township.  The suspect who used the cards was captured on surveillance video at both businesses and appears to be a white male in his early to mid-twenties, dark hair, mustache and possible goatee, wearing a backpack.  The suspect bought socks underwear and a zip up hooded sweatshirt, along with a Men’s 26” Kent, series KZ bicycle model # 52632, black in color with red tire rims and rode it off the property.  Due to the items bought and the appearance of the subject he may be homeless or a transient person.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating a distraction style theft incident  that took place on September 7th2017 at about 4:30 pm. This theft took place at the Verizon Store located at 244 Crossings Blvd, Elverson, within Caernarvon Township. Approximately 10 subjects entered the store, distracted the employees and stole a black in color Apple iPhone 7 and cash from the store. The suspects are believed to have been involved in similar incidents in Spring Township, Berks County and Caln Township, Chester County.

In all cases, the subjects quickly spread out creating distractions for the employees while the theft occurs. The suspects are described as having foreign accents.

In one of the incidents the suspects were observed leaving the area in a tan Toyota Sienna with a paper temporary registration of 19D6927.

The Exeter Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery incident. This robbery took place at the Fulton Bank located at 4363 Perkiomen Avenue, within Exeter Township. The armed robbery happened on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at about 2:50 pm.  The robbery suspect walking into the Fulton Bank and up to a teller window. Once at the teller window the suspect threw black cloth bag to teller and said, “Put the money in the bag.  Hurry up!” . Then the suspect pulled handgun from right side of his side and held it in front of his body.  The suspect then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and walked across Perkiomen Avenue to the Reading Mall Shopping Center. The suspect walked across the mall parking lot and entered the Boscov’s Department Store. The suspect stayed in Boscov’s for about a minute, then exited side door of Boscov’s and walked across the rear parking  of the mall to the wooded area between Boscov’s, Crestwood Pool, Rt. 422 bypass and East Neversink Road. No vehicle was seen as the suspect eluded capture.

The suspect was described as being a white male, between 5’6” – 5’8” tall, weighing over 200 lbs, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black ball cap with Nike swoosh insignia, sunglasses and was wearing gloves. The gun was described as a semi-automatic pistol, black and silver in color.

The Northern Berks Regional Police Department is investigating an attempted “Distraction” style burglary. This incident happened on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at about 3:35 pm. The victim is an elderly female who resides in the Blandon area of Maidencreek Township.

The elderly female was greeted at the door to her residence by a Hispanic male. The Hispanic male was described as having a beard and was wearing glasses, jeans and a hat. The Hispanic male wanted the elderly woman to leave her residence to show him where her property line was. The victim was aware of this type of “distraction” scam and immediately called 911.

The elderly female observed a total of three males. The one she spoke with and two additional males that stayed in their vehicle. She described their vehicle a newer model glossy black station wagon or van and the second row of seats is where the passengers could be seen. The victim related that the vehicle was angled in such a way that she could not see the front make and rear model or registration information.  The victim also said that when she looked out of her residence a second time she saw that the vehicle was back up so close to the garage that she thought that the driver hit it

The Boyertown Borough Police Department is investigating a robbery incident that took place on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, July 5th 2017 at about 12:23 am. The robbery took place at the Circle K convenience store, 100 S. Reading Ave., within Boyertown Borough.

The robbery suspect was about medium build and height. Store personnel described the suspect as wearing shorts, black sneakers, a dark colored long sleeve shirt, white gloves and an orange and black head mask.  The suspect used a hammer for intimidation of the store personnel and demanded money.  The suspect managed to steal cigarettes before fleeing the store in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

The Exeter Township Police Department is investigating several theft incidents that have occurred between March 15th 2017 and June 10th 2017. These thefts all happened at the Henkels and McCoy equipment storage yard, which is located off of Bridge Street, near the Exeter Township Birdsboro Borough border.

The suspect or suspects have cut through the chain link fencing and then forced entry into several different types of cargo and storage trailers. Once access was gained into the storage trailers a large amount of tools were stolen, which included generators, electric power tools, battery operated tools and hand tools.

The suspect is a white male, thin to average build and approximately 6 feet tall. Surveillance images show the suspect was wearing blue jeans and a camouflage jacket, hat and mask. It is believed that the suspect may be from the Birdsboro area due to local knowledge of the area where these thefts took place.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating a rash of commercial burglaries that occurred during the overnight hours between 06/06/17 and 06/12/17. Actor(s) concentrated on the center of Morgantown and so far five businesses have been victimized. Entry into all of the businesses have been forced in some way which vary from windows to doors being smashed or forced. Items taken during these burglaries are cash and small electronics.

During one of the burglaries, the suspects were caught on camera and were operating what appears to be a dark green over tan in color older model Chevy Suburban or similar vehicle with a snowplow attachment on the front end. One of the suspects was wearing a red t-shirt with a peppermint candy on the back. There was also writing on the back under the candy that appears to say “Mint Condition” and the word under it is not legible.

They subject ignored requests by security to stop and pushed the cart into the security person and threatened him. The actor got into a green colored convertible with the top down, and drove backwards thru the lot to avoid detection.

On Saturday, March 4, 2017, a black female entered the Weis Market with the intent to purchase Gift Cards with the use of fraudulent credit cards. Store video surveillance revealed that a female used at least four (4) credit cards in her efforts to obtaining $1,000.00 worth of gift cards. The victim, who’s information was encoded on the fraudulent credit card, was notified by the sponsor bank relative to the suspicious purchases on the card. No additional information is presently available on the suspect.

The Western Berks Regional Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that happened on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at about 4:50 pm. The robbery took place at the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 1 W. Penn Ave, within Robesonia Borough.

The robbery suspect, described as being, a male approximately 6’ tall and appeared to have a medium build, entered the bank quickly and demanded cash. The suspect completely covered his skin with a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored gloves, gray pants and dark colored sneakers. The suspect also wore a facial mask that had no eye, nose or mouth openings.

After robbing the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect was believed to have left the bank and headed towards West Maple Avenue. No one was injured during this robbery.

This theft occurred at the Staples Store, 4711 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, Within Exeter Township. These suspects appeared to use the women’s large hoop dress as a way to conceal a large amount of stolen ink cartridges. Approximately $900.00 worth of ink cartridges were stolen. These same suspects were also involved in similar thefts at Staples stores located in Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and now Pennsylvania.

When leaving the store the suspects were operating the depicted minivan, that the suspects had removed the license plate from.

The theft occurred at the Wine & Spirits Store, located at 3039 N. 5th Street Highway, within Muhlenberg Township. There were three suspects, two were males and one female.

The female displayed in both photographs was wearing a black jacket and had short black hair.

The first male suspect was described as being a white male wearing a hooded winter jacket that had fur around the front edge of the hood, a black hat and had facial hair.

The second male suspect was described as a white male wearing blue jeans a black jack and a grey hooded sweatshirt under the jacket. He had short dark colored hair and facial hair.

The suspects took bottles of alcohol by hiding the bottles under their jackets and then fled the store in an unknown direction.

Two actors, of unknown race, broke into the front door of the residence. One of the actors assaulted the home owner while they yelled at the home occupants and overturned furniture. The actors ran from the residence and towards the rear of the home. The assaulted home owner required medical attention for injuries sustained.
